November 27, 2005

Took a trip out to Southeastern Kansas with chase partner Brian Stertz and my Son, Ryan Thies for this late season Tornado opportunity.  Watched as storms matured and eventually displayed wall clouds.

We finally found ourselves latched onto a storm in Neosho County, Kansas that was tornado warned.  The storm dropped a very strange, unconventional looking tornado as it didn't have the conventional tube and was rather high based.  The tornado was moving  north-northeast at 70mph which made it difficult keeping up with it on the gravel, country roads.
